โCompleting my masterโs in management, risk analytics while working full-time has been one of the most challenging and most rewarding experiences of my life. Balancing both pushed me to grow in ways I didnโt expect โ and what made this journey even more meaningful was sharing it with my brother, who is finishing his finance degree at NC State.
We leaned on each other through the tough moments, traded advice, and motivated one another to keep moving forward.

Urwa Rashid started her career at NC State at 14, and despite being significantly younger than her classmates, she jumped into life with the Wolfpack.
In four years, she found community in multiple student organizations, ran the Krispy Kreme Challenge with her dad, and earned her Eagle Scout rank all while pursuing her @ncstatechass degree.
This weekend, Urwa will address her fellow #NCState25 graduates as the student commencement speaker. ๐
โNC State has been nothing short of the perfect college experience. Some classes and on-campus programs connected me with my favorite people. Some classes absolutely kicked my butt. @PackAthletics instilled a sense of community that radiated through campus and somehow turned me into a sports fan. @NCStateWilson gave me the perfect mix of technical STEM thinking, the business and operations background needed to land real-world jobs, and creative coursework that ensures the part of me that loves to create will always shine. Truly, Wilson is made up of the coolest, most authentic, and most intelligent TAs and professors of all time, I couldnโt have asked for better mentors.
