Barth, 2025 CAS Future Leaders Program Awardee

The department is excited to celebrate a significant achievement by Postdoctoral Scholar Dr. Alexandra Barth, a member of the Castellano research group at NC State University. She has been selected as one of only 35 awardees worldwide for the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Future Leaders Program.
CAS is a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) that focuses on scientific knowledge management and equips early-career scientists with leadership training and networking opportunities.
The new cohort consists of 35 early-career scientists from 12 different countries who are conducting research in various fields, including nanotechnology, computational chemistry, materials science, and green chemistry.
In August, participants will attend an in-person two-week program in Columbus, Ohio, and Washington, D.C. This program includes leadership and career development workshops, mentorship sessions with industry leaders, discussions on scientific topics, and opportunities to connect with fellow scientists.
