Two Chemistry Faculty Appointed College of Sciences Dean Fellows
Prof. Ghada Rabah and Prof. Thomas Theis have been appointed Dean’s Faculty Fellows in the College of Sciences for the academic year 2023-2024. As Dean’s Faculty Fellows, they will be working as part of the college leadership team as well as participating in leadership training activities.
Prof. Rabah will be working with the Academic Affairs office to expand the depth and breadth of multidisciplinary curricula opportunities for our students. She brings years of experience in integrating teaching and research in upper-level chemistry labs, engaging students in interdisciplinary, collaborative course-based undergraduate research experiences.
Prof. Theis will be working with the College Research Office to expand our college engagement in entrepreneurship from the classroom to research commercialization. In addition to founding a start-up company in 2020, he has directed the entrepreneurship programs at the Comparative Medicine Institute, which includes an annual Entrepreneurship conference called CATALYZE, Entrepreneurship awards during the annual “Think, Collaborate & Do” CMI Ideation Event as well as the Fall Business and Medicine (BAM) program.
