{"id":802,"date":"2020-05-28T18:11:23","date_gmt":"2020-05-28T18:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.ucomm.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/?page_id=802"},"modified":"2022-09-13T00:52:32","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T04:52:32","slug":"global-settings","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dev.ucomm.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/products\/nc-state-web-platform\/site-settings\/global-settings\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Settings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Many of the global settings can be access by going to &#8220;NC&#160;State Settings&#8221; within the left-hand menu of your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The settings in this section allow you to specify your site&#8217;s title, your parent unit&#8217;s title and your parent unit&#8217;s URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is also where you would provide a Google Custom Search Engine ID so that you can <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.ucomm.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/reference\/site-search\/\">use the search box within the Utility Bar to search your own site<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nav<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Within this section you can control your menu colors, whether or not you have the campaign sticker in your navigation, and what menu level the left-hand sidebar appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Media Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can specify your social media accounts within this section. The footer and various blocks within the theme will use this information to appropriately populate themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Footer Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where you specify what content appears in your footer.
