The initial setup of the directory and its contents can be a daunting task for larger units as it involves the upload of several users by the maintainer or administrator of their site. Nevertheless, there are methods for streamlining this process by importing multiple users all at once, while also providing the option of adding individual users one at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method 1 \u2013 For bulk importing people with Unity IDs (recommended):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. From the WordPress Dashboard under \u201cPeople\u201d > \u201cImport\u201d, enter users\u2019 Unity IDs in the \u2018Unity IDs\u2019 field, separating each user by a comma (e.g.: mrwuf1, mrswuf1, mrwuf2).
    1. Note: <\/strong>optionally you can un-check \u201cAllow these users to edit their own profile\u201d to prevent the added users from editing their directory listings.<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
    2. Click \u201cImport\u201d to add your new users.
      1. Note: <\/strong>The initial information will be automatically imported from Campus Directory for these individuals. This information, if provided, can include:
        1. First and last name<\/li>
        2. Title<\/li>
        3. Website<\/li>
        4. Email<\/li>
        5. Office<\/li>
        6. Phone number<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><\/li>
        7. After performing the import, a status of \u201cSuccess\u201d or \u201cFailed\u201d should appear below the import area. You can also confirm whether or not a user was successfully added by looking under the \u201cAll People\u201d section found under \u201cPeople\u201d in the dashboard.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Method 2 \u2013 For adding a single user (Users without a Unity ID):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          1. Under \u201cPeople\u201d, select \u201cAdd New\u201d to manually add a new person and their information.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Note: <\/strong>For user\u2019s with unity ID\u2019s, additional information, not featured in their Campus Directory listing, can still be provided in the directory. Such information could include a headshot, bio, or education (among other things). To include this info under a listing, user\u2019s can look under \u201cPeople\u201d > \u201cAll People\u201d > and then click \u201cEdit\u201d under any individual user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
