The layout of a page is closely related to the text that acts as the page’s backbone. Since many web users skim content rather than read every word on a page, it is important to convey your message in additional ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of the ways to convey that message are through creative use of headings<\/a>, link lists<\/a>, and buttons<\/a>. Other methods involve using additional blocks<\/a> that may include imagery and colors. These additional methods help pace the page and define sections to your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Using blocks such as the Featured Content block<\/a> allow you to call out important pieces of content without users having to read a paragraph of text. By using multiple types of content you can create rhythm to your page and provide resting points for your users’ eyes. The variety of blocks and content on the page allows you to more easily define a hierarchy that indicates which pieces of content are more important and\/or of interest to a larger number of users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When working to appropriately layout a page, you need to consider the page’s purpose. Some pages may have more of a marketing focus while others might be information-dense utility pages.
