We will also discuss two high-level approaches to presenting content: marketing pages and utility pages. Some of the ideas covered under these two topics are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Utility Pages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Conveying information to readers<\/li><li>Text-based blocks in Gutenberg<\/li><li>Handling information density<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marketing Pages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increasing reader awareness<\/li><li>Media-centric blocks in Gutenberg<\/li><li>Approaches to reader engagement<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Familiarity with the NC&#160;State Theme and using the Gutenberg editor within WordPress is helpful. If you currently maintain a WordPress site and are not familiar with these features, it is recommended you consider taking our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dev.ucomm.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/workshops\/nc-state-theme-and-stories-workshop\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dev.ucomm.ncsu.edu\/documentation\/workshops\/nc-state-theme-and-stories-workshop\/\" target=\"_blank\">NC&#160;State Theme and Stories for Content Maintainers<\/a> workshop before attending this offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Page Goals Template:<\/strong> It\u2019s important to plan your content before you begin the page-building process, so you can maximize the effectiveness of both the writing and the design.
